Welcome to My Blog

Well, I am fairly close to what I want on my new blog. So I guess it’s time to start doing

something with it.

My next adventure is an extended trip to northern Arizona and Utah. I plan to be out

for about three weeks. I will mostly be camping out with an occasional motel for the

hot bath and a comfy bed.

First stop will be the Wire Pass area in Northern Arizona. Why, you may ask, would this

be my first stop? IT’S BECAUSE I GOT DRAWN FOR THE “WAVE”…….YAHOOOO.

I have been trying to get into this area for the last three years.

For those that are not familiar with the “Wave” it is an area that you can only

gain entry through a lottery held by the BLM and it is limited to twenty people a day.

I am really excited. Just wish that I could spend more time there. One day to hike in 2.75

miles, scout around and take pictures isn’t alot of time. Will just do my best and post

pictures when I get near civilization.

From there I hope to get into the “White Pockets”, hopefully the road into the area

will be in decent shape. Then on to the slot canyons around Page. I have located a few

new ones to explore in addition to the Antelope Canyons.

Next it is onto eastern Utah for the scenery and the Anasazi ruins and rock art.

“What is my quest?” Kokopelli. The magic flute player of the ancients.

I have  yet to decide as to when I will leave. It will be either Sunday or Monday

and I will post information and pictures as I can along the way. So now it’s back to

work doing final preparations for the new adventure.
